Our Mission

As a support organization founded to help Shelter dogs in need, Shelter to Sofa has dedicated countless hours to make a positive difference in the welfare and futures of RI area Shelter dogs.

What We Do

We offer a variety of support services to the shelter and rescue community.

Evaluations

Positive and professional holistic evaluations for Shelter and Rescue dogs in RI and surrounding area.

Rehabilitation

Offering positive behavior modification plans, Shelter and Rescue staff/volunteer training, Shelter visits, Sofa Seeker field trips, training and enrichment supplies.

Foster

Offering Shelter dogs a safe respite where they can decompress, learn, grow and wait for their families to find them.

Adopter Support

We follow our Sofa Seekers home with training, supplies, enrichment and real time support to ensure their smooth transition from Shelter to Sofa.

Advocacy

Events within the community allow us to share our mission with those around us and spread the word of our Sofa Seekers.

Fundraising

Fundraising is how we exist! Donations allow us to purchase supplies for all the dogs in our programs, from harnesses and toys to treats, food and medical care.
